System Strategic Assessments and Master Planning

Facilities throughout Oregon and Washington

Client: PeaceHealth

Role: Master Facility Plan Architect

Services:

Strategic Facility Plan (SFP): Identifying planning efforts across the entire health system
Master Facility Plan (MFP): Identifying planning efforts at 5 of their 10 separate hospital campuses
Tactical Plan: Identifying short term operational and maintenance efforts required at specific campuses

As one of the Northwest’s largest health systems, PeaceHealth needed to review, strategize, and align its care delivery vision for 5 of their 10 medical centers. SHA led a collaborative process with the Owner and various consultants, including forecasting, estimating, and engineering. A comprehensive Master Facility Plan report was completed in support of the Strategic Direction, creating scenarios based on data derived from System/Network Input, Facility Assessments, and Market Demand Analysis.

The guiding principles and goals of the Master Facility Plan developed by SHA included the Owner’s mission, vision, and values, as well as alignment with consistent quality and image across the system. Additionally, the plan provided a ten-year roadmap for facility investments and an outline for capital spending needs.
